CELLULITE:understanding what it is and tips for removing it

Cellulite has often been termed "the curse of women" because so many suffer from the skin dimples and fat deposits on their hips, bums and thighs. Cellulite is not a fat problem, its a skin problem. It has nothing to do with what you weigh, or how much weight you loose. All the creams designed to get rid of it are ripping you off. Cellulite is actually caused by muscular atrophy, a condition that occurs when the layer of muscle becomes weak and undefined, and separates from the skin, making the unattractive fatty deposits visible.

Points to note:

1. You CANNOT get rid of cellulite with lotions:
Stop using them. There are dozens of cellulite reduction creams in the market, they don't work. They may actually be making your cellulite worse. The dimples caused by cellulite are a result of a problem below the surface of your skin, therefore creams will do nothing.

2. Medi-Spa treatments do not work, and may be dangerous:
Medical reports show that medi-spa treatments designed to reduce cellulite such as body-wrapping are completely ineffective and have actually scarred and injured some women permanently.

3. Cellulite is NOT genetic, you can get rid of it:
No matter what you've been told, cellulite is not a problem inherited from parents and you do not have to be stuck with it forever.

4.You can get rid of cellulite no matter how old you are:
Cellulite being an issue related to your muscles, whenever you notice them and at whatever age, you can fix it. Simple movements that target the muscles in the cellulite areas will get rid of the cellulite for good. These exercises are not vigorous or strenuous, and can be performed by anyone.

5.The ONLY way to get rid of cellulite is with specifically targeted lower-body movements:
The movements are unique, directly targeting the muscles in the cellulite areas. They focus on lifting, toning and shaping the muscle layers, pushing them towards the skin and getting rid of the dimpled appearance. Even the skinniest of girls can suffer from cellulite, so its got nothing to do with weight loss in the gym.

TIPS FOR REMOVING CELLULITE

1. Eat a clean, unprocessed diet
Fresh fruits and vegetables are alkaline forming foods. The alkalinity of these foods magnetizes to the toxic matter in cells, drawing it out so it can be removed. In order to remove toxins from the body, they first need to be drawn out from where they have accumulated. Fresh vegetable juices are great at achieving this.

2. Switch salt
Refined salt is very acidic, dehydrating and actually leaches minerals from your body. They add to the accumulation of toxicity in your body. Replace them with sea salt which is alkaline, and will help draw out the toxins. There's no difference in taste!

3. Hydrate
The first thing you should do each day is drink a tall glass of water. Try to avoid coffee and regular tea as much as possible, have more water.

4. Detoxify
Once you start drawing toxic waste from your cells and tissues, the next step is removing them from the body all together. The best way to do this is with colon cleansing, either done by a professional or with at home enemas.

5. Skin Brushing/Massage
The lymph lies right under the surface of the skin. By stimulating the lymphatic system with massage, toxins start circulating into elimination channels in order to be released. In order to break down the fatty deposits which cause the dimpled appearance of cellulite, use massage in small circular movements over your thighs, butt and any other region affected by cellulite. Do this for a few minutes at a time multiple times per week.

6. Sweating
When you sweat, you expel toxins through your skin. Engage in some exercise until you work up a sweat!

7. Don't use skin thinning creams
Think about it logically, if your skin is thinner, not only will your skin show age and general imperfections more, but the appearance of bumps under the skin will be more blatant. Nourish your skin with natural oils and creams.

8. Use a trusted and effective program
While the above mentioned will help reduce the appearance of cellulite, they are not a solution to the root of the problem. Ask a certified fitness trainer for tips and regimes focused on the multi-directional methods for curing cellulite.
