Philip Seymour Hoffman dies of drug overdose

Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead Sunday in a New York city apartment of an apparent drug overdose.

Law enforcement sources said the actor was found Sunday morning in his bathroom in his boxer shorts, with a needle sticking out of his left arm. Police also found 2 envelopes with heroin in them. One of the envelopes had "Aces of Spades" written on it, and the other had an ace of heart symbol -- such symbols and words often markers from people who make heroin -- to brand it.

He is best remembered in Mission Impossible III and also The Hunger Games amongst many other movies that won him accolades.
